Events are a topic near and dear to my heart. I've been involved in some fashion for more than 20 years. So much to play around with.

Recently I wrote about audience participation at music events because I see the trend of documenting oneself at a concert (via photos, videos, and realtime text) as one manifestation of this. It would appear many people go to a concert to let others know they were at the concert.

Here's something posted by someone else that I think will also add to that discussion. It is relevant to understanding events and social media.

http://hyperallergic.com/1431/hyperdocumentation/
